Ishika Mukherjee is a Lead User Researcher at Opencast.

With expertise spanning user-centred design, policy and service delivery, she helps organisations tackle complex challenges by translating research and insight into practical, people-focused services. Her work has been recognised for setting high standards in discovery research and has supported the design of services that better meet the needs of citizens and businesses.

Before joining Opencast, Ishika co-founded a femtech startup focused on addressing maternal health inequalities, reflecting her longstanding commitment to creating more equitable systems and experiences. She has worked across government, healthcare, financial services and technology sectors, with clients including the Ministry of Defence, Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue & Customs, NHS24, Lloyds Banking Group and Glasgow City Council.

Passionate about the intersection of research, design and policy, Ishika advocates for evidence-based decision-making and inclusive service design, helping organisations align user needs, operational realities and strategic objectives.
