Hazel brings several years of experience of public sector and disability inclusion projects to her role at Opencast. As a disabled person themself, Hazel has made accessibility and digital inclusion a core part of their practice.
As well as working in the Opencast user research space, Hazel has a PhD in population health sciences, with a focus on co-designing playful public health education initiatives with citywide stakeholders.
Since joining Opencast in January 2023, Hazel has been involved in projects working to improve disabled people's experiences of identity verification, facilitating mentoring training for consultants and rolling out accessibility training for the research community.
