Adam joined Opencast in 2015, becoming head of engineering in 2019 then head of DevOps and cloud engineering in 2022.
In August 2023, he became the company's first Head of Sustainable Services, working with its internal practices to help make the services Opencast offers as sustainable and green as possible.
He sees his role as aiming to reduce the environmental impact of software and data services on the planet and to helping clients achieve their own net-zero, carbon reduction and wider sustainability goals through better approaches to design, architecture and software delivery.
