New guide sets out what we do and how we do it

Opencast’s much-anticipated publication, 'What we do & how we do it', is out now. Julian Blake offers an overview.

The guide, available in print and online, is designed to help potential clients and partners, as well as others considering working with us, understand how Opencast works, by setting out what we do, how we do it – and where we’ve done it already.

Across its 56 pages,'What we do & how we do it' sets out why our values, services, approach, process, purpose and people matter.

Bringing our work to life

It brings Opencast’s work to life through the voices of our people, with a focus on outcomes and impact – in other words, what we have helped business and government organisations to achieve.  

The guide, created with input from people right across the Opencast team, features case studies showing the impact of our work with key clients at:

Opencast ‘universe’

It features a central infographic – which we call ‘the Opencast universe’ – explaining our work and approach in a single illustration. It shows our values, which in turn inform the services we provide and the social purpose we pursue. Check out the infographic here.

In his introduction to the guide, chief executive Tom Lawson explains: “Potential clients often come to us unsure of how Opencast works. That is why we have produced this book. In it we set out our values, our services, our approach and our purpose. It is based on our collective knowledge of how to deliver the best results for our clients and partners.”
