The role
We are looking to appoint a new Head of Operations & Compliance to join Opencast. We specialise in developing end-to-end enterprise solutions across Government and private sector clients. We have made our name providing industry-leading software development and support services and building a reputation for delivering full end-to-end enterprise solutions. That means we’re with our clients right through the journey – from the initial strategy and architecture and user-centred design, through build, platforms, data, and support.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about leading on operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing IT implementation and operations.
You will have accountability and autonomy to lead, build and establish our Operations & ComplianceFunction, ensuring a hugely important service that our teams of consultants and core functions depend upon is efficient and easy to navigate, with processes and technologies which help us thrive and grow. You will help us become a data-driven organisation, leveraging our investments on core systems, and enabling operational excellence and efficiency.
What you'll do within our teams
Accountability and autonomy to lead, build and establish and run our operations and compliance function. Lead the day-to-day operations of our internal information security and IT practices Overseeing compliance with regulations and standards across all the organisation Input on strategy creation alongside senior management Developing policies that align with strategy. Implementing effective standards and processes. Establishing and developing our Business Continuity Programme Liaise with our CTO & CFO on technology investment decisions.
You'll suit this role if you:
Have excellent business acumen. Have experience in heading up operations and compliance functions, or a similar role. Have strong knowledge in regulatory and standards compliance. Have excellent organisational and leadership qualities Are a strategic thinker who enables business change and growth through operational excellence Have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to influence and advise stakeholders at different levels. Can work at a senior level both internally and with clients
Bonus nice-to-haves
Experience of leading IT service management Previously embedded ISO27001, ISO9000, and ISO20000 standards in businesses Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery experience Experience working a with technology consulting company
