Data Analyst (Contract)
We're seeking an innovative data analyst / performance analyst who can help our major clients transform. You’ll use your strong technical skills to develop performance measuring frameworks to track goals, user needs or KPIs. As an Opencast data analyst, you’ll have an open mind and an enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
What you’ll do within our teams
Use various technologies and techniques to monitor and measure the performance of the client’s services or product to develop short- and long-term strategies.Showcase your analysis through presentations and communication with technical and non-technical people.Advise on the best technologies and frameworks to monitor performance for the teams' and client’s specific needs.Help promote an environment of collaboration, where we treasure values like T-shaping.If required, review your colleagues’ work in a constructive manner and mentor junior team members.Act as an ambassador for Opencast. You’ll promote our approach to software development.
You’ll suit this role if you have:
knowledge of and experience working with data platforms such as Google Analytics, Splunk, Datadog, or similarknowledge and experience of working with digital technology. You’ll understand what it involves and its impactexperience of designing and implementing a performance framework including KPIs for a service or productanalytical skills in identifying the right data sources. You then validate and understand how to interpret the resultsexperience of understanding and identifying who users are and what their needs are, based on evidence and putting their needs firstexperience of collecting, collating, cleansing, and interpreting data to derive meaningful and actionable insightsan ability to use the most appropriate medium to visualise data to tell compelling and relevant actionable storiesan awareness of agile principlesan understanding of the stages of product delivery
Experience visualising data using Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Power Query or similar.Data processing experience using Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, R etc.

Where you’ll work
At Opencast we trust our people to make the right decisions. You may work remotely from home or, depending on your project, you may be required to occasionally work at a client site or your nearest Opencast office.
Interviews take place over Microsoft Teams. If that doesn’t work for you, we’ll do everything we can to support and make any necessary adjustments. We want to ensure everyone has the best possible interview experience.
