The Role

We’re looking for a Bid Writer to join our Corporate Development Team. The ideal candidate will have sufficient bid writing experience, this doesn't have to be in a technology consultancy, but understanding of the industry is advantageous.

The role will involve bid writing in response to a range of Government and public sector procurements through varied frameworks. You will work with the wider Opencast leadership team to develop compelling bid responses, drawing on the expertise and experience of our consulting team.

Within the role, there is scope to get involved in wider bid management activities. This could include helping teams to prepare for bid presentations, leading practice exercises and Q&A scenarios. Experience pricing bids and preparing rate cards is advantageous but not essential.

We can consider individuals with more limited bid experience if you can demonstrate strong written communication skills and a good understanding of digital and technology product/services procurement. 

What you'll do within our teams

  • Review and analyse tender documents to understand requirements 
  • Work with the wider team to identify and understand win themes and USPs
  • Develop bid storyboards to provide a structured bid response
  • Write bid responses, drawing on previous tenders and SMEs 
  • Work with our partner organisations to write joint bid responses 
  • Review, feedback and edit bid responses as appropriate 
  • Support bid management activities as required
  • You'll suit this role if:

  • Experience of bid writing in a technology consultancy setting
  • Knowledge of technology consultancy services, methods and technologies
  • Demonstrable track record of successful bid submissions 
  • Demonstrable experience/training in storytelling techniques 
  • Experience of responding to Government Framework e.g. DOS/G-Cloud opportunities
